Staci Conner
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Conner is an elementary PE teacher and is passionate about being active. She lives in Vancouver with her husband and 2 boys. They love to play sports together and enjoy all things outside.
This is coach Conner’s 11th year coaching and she has been the Varsity assistant here at Union for the past 9 years. This program has been a huge part of her life and she really appreciates how it builds character along with great volleyball skills. She prides herself on building strong relationships with the athletes and loves seeing them grow as volleyball players as well as young women.
"I love coaching because I enjoy working with athletes and watching them grow. Seeing the athletes work together to achieve their goals is one of my favorite parts. Volleyball is a team sport and we are not able to accomplish these goals without each player buying into their role for the team!"

Jessica Kell
JV Head Coach
Jessica Kell was born and raised in Vancouver, WA taking after her mother in going to Columbia River High School where she played on a true freshman team her first year. After that she found herself on Varsity the rest of her high school career, where the team went to state all 3 of those years. After high school she went to Clark College to continue, but quickly had to leave due to family health reasons. So she decided that coaching would be as close as she could get to playing again. She coached club for 4 years here in Vancouver and then wanted to start her family. She has two young boys and a husband of 3 years. Jessica has been playing/coaching volleyball since she was 10 and she can’t wait for this new chapter at Union to make more amazing memories with the athletes and coaching staff. Go Titans!“I love coaching, because I love watching athletes grow. I love watching them light up when a play comes together and I love watching them be joyous with their teammates. That is unmatched! I love coaching, because I love teaching the sport that I grew up playing. No better feeling than getting to share a passion with others who are likeminded!”
Beth Thomas
JV2 (3rd Team) Head Coach
Coach Thomas is a lifetime resident of Vancouver, Wa. Local graduate of Fort Vancouver HS where she competed in Volleyball and lettered in Fastpitch Softball. This will be her 16th season coaching, where the last 10 years have been Union HS. She also coaches the JV Fastpitch Softball team at Union in the Spring.
“My favorite part about coaching young adults is being able to help them learn critical thinking in a fast paced sport, being a good student and teammate, and helping them be a good role model for other young adults. It’s also important to teach them skills that will help carryover to adulthood, like learning to work with multiple personalities in a professional environment for the success of the team. Coaching has enriched my life in so many ways. The countless friendships, experiences, trials, revelations, and everything else that comes with it, has helped shaped me to who I am today. For that I’m grateful to this sport and the community that comes with it. My hope is every athlete that comes through our program leaves with the same experiences.
